The short version: we collect only what we need to manage your reservation and send updates, and we never sell it.

What we collect

When you reserve: your name, email address, ZIP or postal code, your tier, engine, and color choices, and, if you choose to give it, your mobile number and whether you want texts.
If you pay a deposit: payment details go directly to Stripe, our payment processor. We see your name, email, billing address, and payment status, but never your full card number.
When you sign up for updates: your email address, the page you signed up from, and referral codes (yours, and whoever referred you).
When you volunteer or contact us as an investor: what you put in the form.
When you sign in to My Outpost: a temporary sign-in code tied to your email, which expires after 24 hours. We never ask for or store a password.
When you email us: whatever you include in the message.

To keep track of your reservation and your place in line
To send updates about the Outpost and your reservation
To process refunds and answer your questions

Who helps us

We use a few services to run the site and reservations: Cloudflare hosts the website, Google stores sign-up details in a private spreadsheet and serves the site's fonts, and Stripe processes deposits. They handle data only to provide those services. We don't sell, rent, or trade your information, and we don't use advertising trackers.

Cookies

We don't set advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting and payment providers may use cookies needed for security and checkout.

How long we keep it

We keep reservation details while your reservation is active and as long as needed for our records, such as payment and tax records. Ask us to delete your information and we will, except what we must keep by law.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information, or stop getting updates, at any time. Email hellorufusretroistics@gmail.com.

Email updates

We only email people who sign up or reserve. Every email will say who it's from and include a way to unsubscribe. This follows US CAN-SPAM rules and Canada's anti-spam law (CASL).

Text messages

We only text you if you check the box asking for texts. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. We never sell or share your number for marketing.

Canada

If you're in Canada, you have rights under PIPEDA, including access to and correction of your information. Our service providers may store data in the United States.

Children

Reservations are for people 18 and older, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and email reservation holders.
